The members of the Mayaguez Memorial VFW Post 11575 welcomed Aleks Zittle, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. for the US Embassy Cambodia, to their General Membership Meeting held on August 8, 2026. 

She attended the meeting to give a brief statement praising the relationship that the US Embassy and the Post have had over the years. She said that the Embassy has "... relied on you [Post 11575 members] when we needed assistance and you've always stepped up ...."

According to her official biography "Aleks is a career member of the U.S. Department of State with 17 years of experience in overseas and Washington assignments.  Overseas, she previously served as Political-Economic Chief in Phnom Penh, Cambodia...." – according to her official biography on the US Embassy Cambodia website, https://kh.usembassy.gov/cda/.
